I was saddened to receive an e-mail from Bert Tarr today (25/6/09), informing me that on 17th June, Graham Lucas passed away on 17th June. A service will be held at St. Georges Church, Easton in Gordano, on Tuesday 30th June at 2.00pm.
Many of you will remember Graham for his welcoming and happy manner with all that he met. He once told me at a reunion that meeting up again with his old friends, meant so much to him.
I have put a notice in Saturdays Evening Post from all of you at the Fishponds Reunion 'Fond and cherished memories of Graham from all his friends at Fishponds Reunion'
Our thoughts are with his family at this time. Goodnight, God Bless, Graham.

JEAN GRIFFIN
Jean has ordered four more tickets for February's reunion the two couples she ordered them for both went to Alexandra Park.
LANGDON LLOYD
I have spoken to Langdon this Sunday 8/2/09. He is making a good recovery two weeks after undergoing a heart bypass operation. The medical staff are very pleased with his progress, and he is heeding their advice about taking things steady for the next few months.
ALAN FROST & KEITH HUNT
Both have said that all being well they are looking forward to seeing you all again at the Reunion.
TREVOR SWANN & DAVE MONKS
I have received an e-mail from Trevor saying that he will be coming to the next reunion, he is still in contact with Dave Monks and he has expressed his interest in attending this year.
RICHARD(Hovis)BROWN
I dropped some tickets around to Richards house today, so hopefully both Hovey and brother Keith will be making an appearance this year.
WILLY RUSSETT
Willy Russett has just phoned me to let me know that he will be coming up from St. Austell Cornwall with his wife this year. He recently met up with Terry Cope and his wife whilst they were holidaying in Cornwall, and they all went out for a meal together.
TONY LAY
I spoke to Tony's wife and she is vey much looking forward to the coming event.
TONY POWELL
Tony and his wife will be travelling up from Teigmouth in Devon to meet up with you again.
TERRY COPE
Terry and his wife are very much looking foreward to the party.
MIKE FARMER
Mike who now lives in Shropshire e-mailed me a few months ago saying that if possible he might see us all this year.

Graham and Gerry have said how much they enjoy our get-togethers so hopfully we will see them again this year.

Alf saw Keith Bright recently and indicated that he will be going to the next reunion.

It was nice to see Colin and his wife last time and they said how much they had enjoyed it. They have now ordered tickets again for this years party.

Alan did not enjoy the best of health last year but hopefully 2009 will be better for him and we might see him in February.

LANGDON LLOYD
I spoke to Langdon before Christmas and he said he was very disappointed to have missed last years event due to ill-health and was looking forward to attending this years event, unfortunately due to him having to undergo an operation in January he will have to wait until 2010, he wishes you all well and hopes you have a great evening.
RODGER HAWKES
Rodger who lives in Bournemouth has sent me a request to reserve four tickets for him.
KENNY SAWYER
I bumped into him at the Downend Tavern, he snapped up two tickets for himself and his wife for this years event.
SUE BALDWIN, JANET WARD, TERRY SPILLER & ROGER LOVELL
All four of these ex-Fishponds pupils have snapped up late cancellation tickets last year, so we hope to see them again in 2009.

Beryl & Dave have added their names to the reunion list last year, unfortunately dave could not attend due to ilness.

Attended the event for the first time last year so perhaps we will see him and his wife again this year.

We have managed to book the 'Begbrook Club' Stapleton for our next Reunion Party.
We are very grateful to Mac and the DRG Stapleton Football Club for allowing us to use their premises for the last two years.
But due to the fantastic turn-outs that you have given to the reunion events, we sadly find ourselves in the position where we have outgrown the space that the DRG Club provides.
The committee are in discussion at present to maybe holding a lower keyed 'Disco Evening' there for those who want more of a 'Chat and Dance Evening' in the Summer of 2009.
The pleasing thing about the new venue is its space and comfortable seating for 140 people, we have also negotiated an extention to the bar time which will run until midnight.
Keith Bright and myself recently visited the club on a Rock 'n' Roll Disco night, and it seems to fit all our requirements.
I have managed to take some photo's of the venue for you to see and I hope that you like them, and will continue to support us again next year.
